Overview
This large booklet was created for a 1998 workshop. The files are arranged in the original order of the workbook, starting with the complete (374 page) workbook. The booklet contains the essay "Democratic Policing: a Framework for Action" by Chris Stone and Heather Ward. In addition, country overviews of South Africa, Uganda, Hungary, Poland, Russia, the United States, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and India are included. There is also a directory of actors, a bibliography with selected annotations, and working papers detailing examples of specific populations and their relations with police.
