Vera Institute of Justice Paris Office Report of Activities January 1977-March 1978
Overview
In 1976 Vera was invited by the Office of Criminal Affairs and the Research Coordination Service in the French Ministry of Justice to collaborate in developing research and pilot projects in criminal justice reform. An office was opened in Paris on January 3, 1977. Activities included a pilot project in pretrial detention, research on temporary release from prison, research on failures to appear for trial, publications and conferences and seminars.
