This booklet is a collection of statements on the subject of school violence and school safety by public officials, teachers, students, parents, cops, administrators, and researchers. Each states an opinion on questions all New Yorkers desperately want answered: Where does the violence in our schools come from? How should we deal with it when we see it? How can we make schools safer and prevent the violence before it happens?
