Overview

This is the 1971 first year status report of the Neighborhood Youth Diversion Project (NYDP), a joint project of Vera and Fordham University. The program attempted to channel young people involved in juvenile justice from the traditional Family Court/probation process into a community-based program that offers counseling and mediation. At the time of this report, it served two precincts in the East Tremont section of the Bronx.
