Overview

This is the 1996 final planning report on the INS/NIJ/Vera Initiative on improving compliance with the INS adjudicatory process. The report has two main parts—a description of the research design for the Appearance Assistance Program and an examination of the practicality of reconfiguring supervised release as home detention for certain lawful permanent residents in removal proceedings.
