Overview

For this 1976 report, Vera interviewed 21 public sector employers who closely supervised ex-addicts from the Wildcat Service Corporation in order to gauge their attitudes towards ex-addict employees. Wildcat was begun by Vera (as Pioneer Messenger Service) to enable ex-addicts—traditionally viewed as unemployable and a threat to society—to be a resource to society by developing work habits in a supported setting.
