Criminal Careers of Juveniles in New York City

Overview

This report offers a prospective analysis of the subsequent arrest-based criminal careers of a cohort of 14- and 15-year-olds arrested and sent to probation intake in New York City during 1977-1978. Five career types were established, ranging from one compose of those with no arrests after one year to persons arrested on felony charges two or more times per year for at least two consecutive years.
