This 1976 study was designed to measure the value of services produced by Wildcat crews and the productivity of those crews. It was part of a larger effort to determine the benefits (and costs) of the Wildcat program of supported work. Wildcat Service Corporation was begun by Vera (as Pioneer Messenger Service) to enable ex-addicts—traditionally viewed as unemployable and a threat to society—to be a resource to society by developing work habits in a supported setting.
