Vera Institute of Justice

Zachary Lawrence was a senior data scientist who worked across multiple Vera initiatives. His work focused on analyzing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention and U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review court proceedings data. Additionally, he worked to improve the data acquisition, processing, and analysis infrastructure across Vera.

Before joining Vera, Zachary was a software engineer, where he worked to produce insights based on a distributed data processing pipeline.

Zachary holds a BS in computer engineering from the University of Maryland.
