William C. (Will) Snowden
he/him
Will Snowden was the director of Vera’s Louisiana office. In this role, he continued and strengthened Vera’s existing partnerships with criminal legal system actors and community leaders while identifying new collaborative relationships with government entities and community organizations.
Before joining Vera in 2018, Will worked as a public defender in New Orleans and developed a particular focus on juries. Will’s advocacy helped eliminate a vestige of Jim Crow by changing the law in Louisiana to require unanimous juries in all felony trials.
He holds a BS from the University of Minnesota and a JD from Seton Hall University School of Law.
