Sam Raim is the director of advocacy messaging and impact for Vera’s advocacy and partnerships department, where he works with initiatives across Vera to strategize, develop, and execute well-informed, persuasive written components to advocacy campaigns.

Before coming to Vera, Sam spent nearly a decade as an editor in book publishing, where he held editorial positions at Hachette Books, Viking/Penguin Books, and Penguin Classics. His publications as an editor include Mansoor Adayfi’s Don’t Forget Us Here: Lost and Found at Guantánamo, Kevin Hazzard’s American Sirens: The Incredible Story of the Black Men Who Became America’s First Paramedics, and Andy Campbell’s We Are Proud Boys: How a Right-Wing Street Gang Ushered in a New Age of American Extremism.
