Rosie Wang
Rosie Wang is a program manager with Vera’s Advancing Universal Representation initiative, which works to provide publicly funded attorneys for detained immigrants and campaigns to secure the right to federally funded representation in immigration court. Her work supports immigrant rights advocacy in New York State, universal representation programs in Illinois, and technical assistance for legal service providers nationwide.
Before joining Vera in 2020, Rosie was the director of legal advocacy and services at the Urban Justice Center’s Sex Workers Project, where she helped advocate for the decriminalization of sex work and represented sex workers and trafficking survivors in their applications for immigration relief. Rosie has also worked as a fellow at Sanctuary for Families, providing immigration legal assistance to clients referred from the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court.
Rosie holds a BA in history from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from Columbia University Law School.
