Meghan Ragany
Meghan joined Vera in August 2014 as a General Counsel Fellow working on criminal justice system reform in the New Orleans office. She received a JD from New York University School of Law in 2014. While in law school, she conducted research into the territorial rights of indigenous peoples with the organization Dejusticia in Bogota, Colombia and worked for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington, DC. She was also involved in advocating for improved NYPD protest policing policies in the aftermath of the Occupy Wall Street protests, as well as assisting indigent clients with obtaining legal immigration status. Meghan holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, where she majored in culture and politics.
