Mary Fleck
Mary Fleck was a data fellow in Vera’s Redefining Public Safety program. Her work was focused on analyzing the policing of marginalized communities using arrest and other law enforcement data. She also supported the development of the next phase of Vera’s Arrest Trends data visualization tool. Mary is currently a student in Carnegie Mellon University’s Master’s of Science in public policy management and data analytics program and holds a BS in mathematics from Bowling Green State University. Mary also dedicates her time to volunteering for groups advocating for and with the Latinx community, most recently as a database specialist and analyst for Casa San Jose and as a translator for the city prosecutor in Bowling Green, Ohio, and the Catholic Church community in Monroe, Michigan.
