Lisha Nadkarni is a senior editor in the communications and external affairs department, where she works with writers, researchers, and system-impacted people across Vera’s programs and initiatives to hone their messaging and communicate their stories to a broad audience. She is committed to making complex ideas accessible through innovative storytelling and approachable writing.

Before joining Vera in 2021, Lisha worked as an acquisitions editor in academic publishing. With more than a decade of experience in the publishing industry, she produced many award-winning and critically acclaimed books.

Lisha holds a joint BA in English and gender studies from Rutgers University and an MA in English and comparative literature from Columbia University.
