Karina Schroeder
As communications manager, Karina worked across all levels of the Institute. She advanced Vera’s work and expertise through the production of blog posts, long-form special reports, and op-eds that served to increase traffic to Vera’s website, recognition of Vera’s on-staff experts, and public/ individual support for Vera’s mission. She also served as an expert on Vera’s writing and editorial style, working closely with the web engagement director and digital strategy director to ensure that Vera’s online publications maintain brand identity and editorial consistency across platforms.
Karina was also the social media and website manager for the MacArthur Foundation's Safety and Justice Challenge.
Karina is a 2015 graduate of NYU Wagner's Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service (FELPS). FELPS is a rigorous leadership program for recent graduates working in public service. Karina also holds BAs in Journalism and Anthropology from the University of Iowa.
