Juan Martinez-Hill
Juan joined Vera in 2020 as the Clifford Chance Foundation fellow. As part of Vera’s Legal Department, Juan assisted in handling in-house matters. He also worked closely with the Center on Sentencing and Corrections’ postsecondary education team.
Juan has an extensive background fighting for the rights of immigrants and migrant workers with organizations including Centro De Los Derechos Del Migrante, Inc., Make the Road New York, and the United Farm Workers Foundation. Juan’s additional prior roles include senior paralegal for New York Legal Assistance Group and SEO law fellow for Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
Juan received an AB in philosophy and political science from Brown University and his JD from NYU School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys motorcycling and salsa dancing.
