Johnny Rice II
Johnny Rice II joined Vera in October 2010 as a senior program associate in the Supervised Visitation Initiative. Prior to joining Vera, Johnny worked as a public administrator for the Maryland Department of Human Resources, overseeing their various programs on family violence and victims of crime. He has a long history of working with low-income fathers and families, focusing on responsible fatherhood and on enhancing their stability and the safety of the communities they live in. He has worked to address family violence, serving in a variety of roles for nationally recognized domestic-violence entities, including contributing to the development of the Safe Havens Supervised Visitation Grant Program Guiding Principles. Dr. Rice earned his BS and MS degrees in criminal justice from the University of Baltimore, and his Dr.PH. degree from Morgan State University's School of Community Health and Policy.
