Jian Gallo-Kohn
Jian Gallo-Kohn is a senior associate with Vera’s Race, Equity, and Inclusion (REI) department, working to embed antiracist and equity principles and values in Vera’s policies, practices, programs, and culture. She helps co-lead all REI strategy, including the REI Action Plan, a roadmap for Vera’s equity journey. Before joining REI in 2020, Jian was a center coordinator for Vera’s former Center on Victimization and Safety, supporting center staff and programmatic work related to the Office for Victims of Crime’s National Resource Center for Reaching Underserved Victims grant. She also led the center’s racial equity pilot project in 2019, driving the center to more equitable internal and external practices and programs.
Before joining Vera, Jian held internships at nonprofits such as the Obama Foundation, the Human Rights Campaign, the Ad Council, and the Smithsonian Institution.
Jian holds a BA in political science and criminal justice from The George Washington University.
