Jennifer Yang
Jennifer Yang is a research associate with Vera's Opening Doors to Housing initiative, working to increase housing opportunities for people with conviction histories. She is a mixed-methods researcher with an emphasis on leveraging quantitative research methods to drive change.
Before joining Vera, Jenny was a lecturer in statistics and research methods at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In addition to her experience conducting program evaluation studies on reentry programs, she worked as a data analyst for the Research Foundation of the City University of New York examining the predictive validity of intimate partner violence risk assessment instruments.
Jenny holds a BA in psychology and criminology and an MA in criminology from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. She is currently a PhD candidate in criminal justice at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York.
