Daniel (Dan) Bodah
Dan Bodah works as a senior program associate in Vera’s Redefining Public Safety initiative to help cities achieve police accountability through data transparency and produce public safety through civilian-led alternative crisis responses. Dan was instrumental in creating Vera’s Police Data Transparency Index.
Before joining Vera in 2019, Dan assisted the Data Collaborative for Justice in its qualitative evaluation of New York City’s Criminal Justice Reform Act. He has worked in the Brooklyn federal court and U.S. Court of International Trade as a law clerk and as a civilian investigator of police misconduct complaints for New York City’s Civilian Complaint Review Board.
In addition to his work at Vera, Dan is a member of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement.
Dan holds a BA in linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, an MA in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
