Anne Marie Mulcahy

Anne Marie was the director of the Center on Immigration Justice. Prior to assuming that role, she was the director of Vera’s Unaccompanied Children Program for seven years, overseeing a national network of legal services organizations that provide assistance to immigrant children in removal proceedings who are detained in, or have recently been released from, federal custody. Before coming to Vera, Anne Marie worked as a pro bono coordinator with Kids In Need of Defense and conducted legal screenings for unaccompanied children in the New York metropolitan area while recruiting, training, and mentoring pro bono attorneys to represent the children in immigration court. Anne Marie spent three years representing social services agencies in New York State abuse and neglect proceedings, and also has experience conducting Know Your Rights presentations for, and representing, detained immigrants in removal proceedings. Anne Marie received her BS from the University of Scranton and JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
