Amy Reid
Amy Reid is the director of race, equity, and inclusion at Vera and a member of the Vera leadership team. She leads the Institute's efforts to advance equity in both internal and external work. A public health professional dedicated to building more equitable systems and communities, Amy previously served as Vera’s director of impact strategy.
Before joining Vera in 2021, Amy was a senior director at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), where she led IHI's efforts to advance health equity, including strategy and business development; initiative design, implementation, and evaluation; and teaching and coaching. She launched IHI’s Pursuing Equity Initiative, and worked with healthcare systems and community coalitions to improve healthcare quality and health equity, leveraging public health, racial justice, and implementation science methods.
Amy holds a BS in biology from Davidson College and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband and two young children.
