Vera Institute of Justice

Aleeza Kazmi is the digital content editor in Vera’s communications and external affairs department. In her role, Aleeza manages content planning and production across Vera's digital channels, building awareness of the Institute and its criminal legal and immigration reform efforts.

Before joining Vera in 2023, Aleeza worked at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she developed digital content that elevated the organization's mission to advance reproductive rights as human rights globally.

In addition to her work at Vera, Aleeza hosts "Grown," a podcast from storytelling nonprofit The Moth that celebrates the diversity and commonality of human experience through personal narrative.

Aleeza holds a BA in journalism from Stony Brook University.
