New York – The Vera Institute of Justice will be hosting its fifth annual fundraising gala on Monday, September 20 at Jazz at Lincoln Center, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The cocktail reception and program will honor Jeffrey Kindler, CEO of Pfizer Inc, and Herbert Sturz, Vera’s founding director. It will also include a film highlighting Vera’s contribution to juvenile justice reform in New York City and State.

Approximately 300 philanthropists and members of the New York City legal, business, and government community are expected to attend the event, which will also mark the beginning of Vera’s celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2011.
