New Survey Aims to Learn How Police Involve Community in Decision-Making
New York University’s Policing Project recently launched a survey on police-community engagement.
The survey aims to learn from as many community members and police departments as possible about the steps departments have taken to involve the public in key decisions about policing – including department policies and practices, new technologies/military equipment, and public safety priorities.
Through this survey, community members and police departments have a unique opportunity to provide their input on how communities have or should be involved in police decision-making.
Take the survey by January 30th.
This survey from NYU’s Policing Project was produced in partnership with the Charles Koch Institute, Police Foundation, and the Urban League.
