Join the Vera Institute of Justice and the National Partnership for New Americans in Washington, D.C. for an in-person, national convening for advocates, organizers, legal service providers, government champions, and others in the immigrants’ rights field who are working to advance universal representation at all levels of government.

Event Details
Monday, May 8: The convening will begin with registration starting at 1:30pm EST on Monday, May 8th at the convening venue in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. (see confirmation email for details). Convening programming will continue for the rest of the day, culminating in an onsite reception beginning at 6:30pm EST.
Tuesday, May 9: Convening programming, which will include mainstage panels, breakout sessions, and workshops, will continue on this day. Catered breakfast and lunch will be provided, with dinner on your own.
Wednesday, May 10: We will head over to a separate location a short distance from Capitol Hill to prepare for a Day of Action in support of the Fairness to Freedom Campaign. Attendees will lobby members of Congress to demand support for legislation that establishes a universal right to federally funded legal representation for anyone facing deportation.
To register for the convening, please fill out the registration form below. Unless otherwise noted, hotel costs (two nights, for May 8 and 9) are included as part of convening registration. Convening attendees are responsible for otherwise making and paying for their own travel arrangements. A representative from the convening organizing team will reach out following registration to coordinate hotel room booking at the convening venue as part of our room block.
